Tattoo Removal

With the rise in tattoo popularity over the past 20 years, the demand for safe and effective tattoo removal has grown just as rapidly. Some individuals see results days following their first treatment, however, definite results begin to appear after 3 or 4 sessions.

Post Treatment Care

For post treatment care, we recommend the use of a topical ointment such as Polysporin as well as an SPF if the area worked on will be exposed to sun. Another recommended product is V-Stat Advanced Scar Gel from Vivier.

The process works by delivering concentrated pulses of light that are absorbed by the tattoo pigments. These light pulses break the ink into tiny particles, which the body gradually eliminates through its natural healing processes.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

Most clients require between 8 and 24 sessions, spaced 6-8 weeks apart, depending on several key factors:



Tattoo colour(s): Some pigments (like black) respond more quickly, while others (such as green, blue, or red) may require more sessions.

Ink quality: Professional tattoos often use deeper and denser ink, requiring additional treatments compared to amateur tattoos.

Ink depth: The deeper the ink sits in the dermis, the more sessions may be required.

Tattoo age: Older tattoos tend to fade more quickly due to natural pigment breakdown over time.

Body location and skin type: Areas with better blood flow tend to heal more efficiently, aiding in pigment clearance.

Because each tattoo and client is unique, a personalized treatment plan is developed during your consultation.

What to Expect:

Visible results can sometimes be seen just weeks after the first session, though noticeable and consistent fading typically becomes apparent after 4 to 6 treatments. Sessions are generally quick, though some discomfort may be experienced during the procedure—often compared to a rubber band snapping against the skin. Most clients find this discomfort manageable, and cooling methods or topical anesthetics can be used to improve comfort.


Aftercare: Healing & Skin Recovery

Proper post-treatment care is crucial to optimize healing and achieve the best results.

We recommend:

Topical ointments such as Polysporin to prevent infection and support healing during the first few days post-treatment.

Sun protection: Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher to protect the treated area if it will be exposed to sunlight.

Avoid picking, rubbing, or scratching the area to prevent scarring or infection.
